How to Use Windows Update in Windows 10
Windows update is a tool released by Microsoft, used to provide updates like service packs and patches for the Windows operating system and also can provide Office, Visual Studio updates for Microsoft software. Windows Update can also be used to update drivers for popular hardware devices such as audio device drivers, graphics device drivers, keyboard and mouse drivers etc.

1, Press Start menu and click Settings icon on the left corner of the screen.
2, In Settings interface, you can find the Update and Security option and select it.
You can also type windows update in Search box, you can see Windows update settings on the top of the menu and click it.
3, You can catch the Windows Update on the right and click the Check for updates. Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically.
It takes a while to download the updates. So please be patient.
If the download is finished, the computer will be restarted and updating automatically.
4, If you want to check the update details like as Windows 10 update version, update date, you can click the Update history.
In additional, you can choose the Uninstall updates to cancel the new update for Windows 10 in Update history.
5, If you want to make more settings, please select Change active hours, Restart options and Advanced options as per as your requirement.
In Change active hours, you can set your device active hours. When a restart is necessary to finish installing an update, the Windows will not restart your device during active hours automatically.
You can click the drop-down menus of Start time and End time to set active hours. And don’t forget press Save.
In Advanced options, you can select how to updates are installed. If you want to Defer feature updates or Use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update, please check the box in the front of them.
