How to Set up Windows 10 Automatic Backup and Restore

1, Press Win key and click Settings icon and Update and Security option in turn.
2, Open the Update and Security, you can catch the list on the left and please select Backup. Then you can find the Back up using File History on the right. It is used to back up your files to another drive and restore them if the originals are lost, damaged, or deleted.
At this time, Automatically back up files has been turned on. You can feel free to back up your any program, document, picture and video if you like.
If you want to make more settings on the Backup, please select More options.
4, Open the Backup options, you can click Back up now and then the backup will be run.
You can set times for backup files in the drop-down menus as per as your requirement. Usually, the default value of Back up my file is Every hour and the default value of Keeping my backups is Forever.
5, please look at the Back up these folders. Windows will automatically back up below files for you. If you wouldn’t like to backup any of them, please click that file and Remove it.
Moreover, you can Add a folder from any disk of your computer if you want.
Also, you can select the file which you do not want to back up into Exclude these folders option.
6, If you need to stop using your current backup drive before you add a new one. Please choose Stop using drive. This won’t delete any files from your current backup drive.
7, Finally, Related settings is on the bottom of the dialog box. If you want to make some advanced settings, you can select the See advanced settings. If you want to restore files, you can click the Restore files from a current backup and restore to the original location.
You can also open the File History from Control Panel.
You can catch Restore personal files, Select drive, Exclude folders, Advanced settings on the left and set them according to your requirement.
In additional, Windows 10 retains the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) features in Control Panel.
