Fix USB Error: The USB Controller IS In a Failed State or IS Not Currently Installed
After upgrade to windows 10, and anything runs well. When you install a Safe-Net Sentinel USB Drivers for the new hardware to play the game, but it does not work. In device manager, you find all the drivers are installed well. When you use Windows USB TroubleShooter automatically diagnose to fix it, it shows an error: The USB controller is in a failed state or not currently installed.
This happened normally because of the USB devices interruption. For example, when you want to install an USB Scanner, but there are some devices having the inbuilt USB hub, so the two USB Controllers conflict with each other. So we know the reason why it happend, we can follow the next steps to solve it.
Step 1: Enter device manager.
Press Win + R, and type devmgmt.msc to open device manager window.
Step 2: Show all hidden devices.
In the menu bar, click View item and choose Show hidden devices option in the drop-down list. And this will show all devices.
This can help you to see if there is a yellow exclamation device.
Step 3: Uninstall and Reinstall the USB driver.
If you find a yellow exclamation device, right-click it and choose Uninstall to remove it.
And then click Scan for hardware changes button in toolbar.
This will help you scan the added or removed devices and automatically install drivers for it.
If there is no yellow exclamation device, follow the next steps.
Step 4: Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Step 5: Uninstall all the USB Controller drivers.
Choose one of the USB controllers, right-click it and choose Uninstall to remove it. Follow this way to uninstall all the USB controller devices.
Step 6: Restart Computer.
Press the power button to restart computer. After rebooting, the computer will automatically install all USB devices drivers again.

Step 7: Use Driver Doctor to install USB drivers.
Sometimes, the Windows cannot solve the problem after it reboots. Although Windows will provide drivers, but not successfully every time. So you can try to use Driver Doctor to fix it for you.
After you download Driver Doctor, install and run it on your computer, it will help you scan all the outdated, missing and conflict drivers, and then download it for you. So you can update it automatically.
